"The budget, the Social Security structure, the demographics, and every other factor of Social Security is almost exactly the same now as it was when five or six years ago."
Unadulterated hogwash. Obviously incorrect. What is the average life-span today? What is the average retirement age vs 50 years ago? What are the current distribution of ages on the bell curve? Dear god, surely the kool-aid hasn't ruined you ability to do math and look at graphs!? Has it?....
Tom, thought you were talking about comparing now to the inception of the Social Security program, my bad. I would take down the rhetoric and say 'sorry!', but I would still point out that even in the last 10 years we have seen lower birth rate, higher living age and longer retirements.
