If it is hogwash to point out that a system that confiscates 15% of US payrolls is unfair, so be it.
If you think the people of the US could not do better with those $trillions than what the SS administration has deliviered, I submit that is closer to hogwash than what I point out.
The point is, which the SS deniers are avoiding,is that it delivers very little at an immense cost. My point about the inherent weakness of defined benefit plans went right past you, possibly.
Maybe you don't mond losing ownership of a very significant portion of your earnings, but I don't know why.
Maybe you don't mind earning <2% on your savings (15% of most folk's income), but thinking people do.
