Simply raising the retirement age is a way to fix the problem. Raising the tax is also an answer. I explicitly pointed out one in the post you are sputtering about. There exists a whole array of possible solutions that do not require a larger tax, including cutting benefits, rasing the retirement age, ruling very wealthy people ineligible, changing the credits system, etc.
Obviously, some of those proposals will be more odious to some than others, and all are certain to raise the fur of some group. Nobody said it wouldn't be easy and that everyone would get what they want.
Regardless, the 'Let it be shredded or raise taxes' is a false dichotomy promulgated almost exclusively by the 'shills' of the current 'reform' plan, which really is just an excuse to destroy a perfectly workable plan that has sufficed for around 70 years.
It is odd that the injustice of taking one person's savings and nationalizing it into a fund is considered a valid plan at all
Sorry, Are you talking about the system is run currently, or the proposed 'reform' of the plan offered by the president?
