re: No, it sure doesn't.

I am not happy with everything the President has done. But considering what this country has been through, he has done a good job of keeping the economy rolling and the country safe from terrorist attacks.

If the economy goes back into a recession, we get another 9/11 type attack (Which would spur another recession IMO), and Iraq doesn’t become a free democracy in the next few years, then I’ll admit I was wrong and you were right.

We would have had 9/11 under Gore, for it was planned years before the 2000 election. And the Economy would have gone down as a result. Enron would have also happened, as it had also been going on before Bush became President. That also hurt the economy. Could Gore have gotten us out of the recession and prevented another 9/11 type attack? I don’t think he could have.

You got to give President Bush credit for this.

Where the president could improve:

1. Close our Southern Border to illegal immigration. I have gripped about that on this site many times.

2. His speech about becoming less dependant on Oil was great, but he needs to act more aggressively to get it done sooner. We need alternative energy now, not in a decade.

3. Stop spending so much. He is supposed to be a conservative, after all (Actually, Bush is a very progressive president IMO).

4. Re-due the no child left behind. It is not working. I posted my feelings on this topic on this site.

5. And give NASA more money.

How about a compromise, Robert? President Bush is not as great as we Republicans want him to be, but not as bad as you Democrats try to make him to be.
