"Oh this is rich... Let me get this straight... In the war on Terrorism; when faced with a choice between a large difficult country to take over with a known WMD program and SERIOUS ties to terrorism, and small weak country with no serious ties to terrorism and NO WMD's we will always attack and occupy the smaller country... just because its easier...
WOW!!! What a strategy!!!! You are a regular right wing Bowser..."

That I'm the opposite of Bowser. I thank you for the compliment. But that I'm merely a rightwing version, I find offensive. Bowser is a clueless twit, whether he is rightwing or leftwing or centerwing is beside the point. And I think a rightwing Bowser would want to attack the more powerful country- merely to demonstrate that he had balls or something.
The cost of war must be measured. I don't doubt that US miltary could successful defeat Iran in a war, but a smaller country allows a less savage use of miltary power. In a war with Iran their civilian and miltary deaths could easily be ten times the number that occurred in Iraq- and our soldiers deaths could be twice or more then we have with Iraq. So yeah, I have no problem fighting a war against a weaker opponent. But it wasn't the major point, just one point [but for someone harping about the death and misery resulting from warfare, it causes me to wonder why you find it such a non issue].
