At least you are not a partisan hack. That is worthy trait to be admired.
I have no problems with people supporting their party, but not blindly. But it’s not easy to do when we start taking sides and turn politics into a competition. Then it becomes my side vs. your side, like some football game. And when that happened we don’t want our side to lose, so we’ll ‘hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil’ of our side because that might cause us to lose the game.
Some get so rapped up in their side winning the game, they can not see anything else.
But it is not a game, or it shouldn’t be.
