The slandered wealthy elite.

The Bush voters are wealthier, true. They are also the best educated. Ergo education tends to lead to conservatism and a higher income. Most folks consider this a good thing.

This type of statistic is borne out by an exit poll from the 2004 election:

2004 Election___________ Bush_____Kerry

No High School (4%) _____49%______50%

H.S. Graduate (22%)_____52%______47%

Some College (32%)______54%______46%

College Graduate (26%)____52%_____46%

Postgrad Study (16%)_____44%_____55%

If you analyze the data Bush ran away with the College educated crowd. The smaller postgrad group (who are the most likely to be the wealthy elitists you so despise) were the only group where Kerry pulled ahead along with a slight edge in those who had no high school whatsoever.

I hate to drag out this mirror again, but the mirror principle applies here.

The elitist is you Robert.

You thumb your nose at America as does Don with his "Finally America gets it" type of stuff. Bowsers little schizophrenic routine at the end of his posts where he diminishes the readers as he talks to himself is yet another manifestation of this elitism. (as well as other disorders;-)

Like all good liberals, you invoke class warfare to engender support for your cause, yet you fail to see that the liberal class itself is the most structured and tiered group of elitists the modern world has to offer. From college professor and media talking head on down through the ranks of public school teachers, government employees and all the way down to the union guy who cleans the bidet, all these liberals have their place in the liberal class structure and pecking order.

Your whole 'gloating' comments are part and parcel of this elitism. "I knew! I'm a liberal, I'm better than commonfolk and now that this poll has come out, I shall announce my farsightedness to the rest of the world! Next time they should bow down and listen to me when I make my proclamations about politicians from Mount Liberalus!"

I stand solidly by my views of Bush's presidency.

Believe it or not, folks don't need to count the blisters on their hands or show some dirt under their fingernails to the soft-handed, white collar liberal classification monitors to prove they are not an 'elitist' or a 'wealthy pig' before discussing their views.

And you may find it equally amazing that some educated, richer folks know more than their less educated, poorer comrades. Poverty is not equal to nobility nor does it suddenly bestow the wisdom of Confucius on all who dislike capitalism or can't find a higher paying job.
