OK, fine. The US is a misunderstood hero saint with superpowers.

We have money and muscle to spare. That's why we owe our asses to China and Japan.

All the nations who have sent 2 people to Iraq are excellent support.

Blaming Israel for Palestine's problems is the same as blaming the US everywhere, no exceptions. I had not thought of us as an extension of Israel, nor of Israel as the 51st state, but if you say so...

And if we torture people and redefine treaties we've signed concerning our commitment to human rights, well, who cares? That's just the cost of doing business.

I am not "pretending" that the Middle East was more stable before, when we were arming Saddam (who was no better then) against Iran. I am also not "pretending" that we are better off now. We have traded one type of instability for another. Come to think of it, though, maybe this is better: for decades, other people were fighting and dying while we were bankrolling the war. Now we are not only paying, but our people are dying too. The real price of empire is more obvious this way.

Now, see? I can play the righteous exaggeration game too.
