"Come to think of it, though, maybe this is better: for decades, other people were fighting and dying while we were bankrolling the war. Now we are not only paying, but our people are dying too. The real price of empire is more obvious this way.
Now, see? I can play the righteous exaggeration game too."
Cool.
I want to know where are all the taxes we are getting from the terrorities which are part of our empire?
And if no taxes are forthcoming from areas in which we are governing wouldn't that be sort of like the residents of state Oregon paying no federal taxes.
So, no tax collection?
How about the idea of that the state we rule will not tax any US products [have tariffs]. Wouldn't be at least one thing we could expect from our subject states?
So is this also demanding too much?
How about this; can you give a list of the countries which are part of the American empire. And if you provide list of countries, can you get a few people to agree that this is a fairly complete list of our subject states?
Cause I don't know how one could have empire if no one knows what states are part of it.
Or perhaps you know someone, who knows someone else who might have a clue of what countries are on this list?
Anything?
I would say that you could buy a large number of cars, but if you don't own the keys, and have no idea where they are, or how you could find them, then you can't really say you own a fleet of cars.
I would say that America has bought a lot of cars.
