An occasional correction of factual errors on the part of those that in general support your general stance promotes honesty because unlike when it's coming from the other side it isn't dismissed automatically and erroneously as trolling or personal bias. That's all it would take in my opinion to elevate this board back where it once was where any factual error was likely to be challenged from any corner and most people were willing to admit their errors. Criticism from those you relate to more is taken more to heart.
You're own response here and that of others is a perfect example of the problem. You assume I'm trying to ruin your Holiday or make you mad, when what I want is for everyone and especially the moderators to try and restore this board to its glory days of open and honest debate. Perhaps I should be more concerned that my attempts to do so can infuriate people, but I've found people generally tend to get irritated about facing issues they don't want to deal with so I don't worry that much about it. You are welcome to editorialize my comments any time you think I could have made the same point in a far less irritating manner.
Regards & Happy Holidays
