The story behind the Iraq nonsense --and that is what it is, nonsense--is that warring factions there that many here know nothing about are just plain greedy. Not greedy for money but power. The nice thing about this greed is that it leaves those who are truly tyrants at the top and The US Gov and People know damn well how to negotiate with Tyrants and it doesn't lead to war between US and them.
The difference isn't us really going in because we felt that they were a threat and the simple fact is that Pres. B. had his own very personal reason to exact justice upon the the former leader of Iraq. Does anyone remember an assassination attempt on his father? Everyone knows that the facts that led us to war this time have been false. Just the same facts could be said for a great many other countries than Iraq. In fact some of those very countries have even anounced to the world their intentions. Well I'll be damned if. lets see, Most countries of the world that have developed WMDs pretty much said that they were. Hummm. Well Everyone has their own justification for why. and they think that everyone else's is crap. But the Reason is so far behind us that even if we could have a court case to dig thru all the political BS no one would ever feel the hand of the Law on their well deserving fat cat asses.
