Most Christians I know are very accepting of evolution.
I do run into the literalist, who take the Bible literally. I have had some heated arguments with them. I point out that the Old was written in Hebrew, and the New Testament in Roman. Our English version is a translation. How can you take a translation literally?
I also ask them to show me where in the Bible it says the Earth is 6000 years old. Of course they can’t because it doesn’t say. Actually, Genesis is very vague. I have argued with them that each day is a period of creation, not an actual Earth day. If you look at the original Hebrew, you can see this.
So I am stuck in the middle. I argue with the Creationist and I argue with you guys.
