The way you frame it in the first post, intellectually and philosphically, is the way it generally end's up.
If you want to say "it was a joke" be sure you put a few smilies in there, and spoke humerously.
If you say "It's society's fault - be sure to put a few *twisted* references.
If you're making a socio-religious point, go straight to OT, or flame, please.
