re: There may be "advanced beings" out there, but...

the concept remains a concept, not a solid fact.

That's a tautology, and yields no useful insight. Tautologies aren't part of my repertoire of scientific methods, remember? And one rule that is part of the repertoire of scientific methods is that there are no 'solid facts'. So really you've violated two of my fundamental scientific tenets already. 'Facts' are merely constructs of language that come and go, wax and wane, evolving with the universe. The entire universe is evidence of 'something which we do not understand', and that which we do understand indicates that life is most probably abundant on a cosmic scale, albeit widely separated in space and time, and at varying stages of evolution. We're middle of the road stuff. I can't wait to meet the real deal. Some say we already have. It could even be us. Certainly it is 'out there'. Evolution dictates it exists. These aren't facts, these are ramblings and speculations that are indeed part of my repertoire of scientific methods. So get out there and 'observe', you never know what you might see, you never know what you might find. You might even find yourself. You might even find 'god'.
