More like probabilities
Unless your life is in immediate danger, the odds are quite good
you will be alive tomorrow.
Just as the odds are quite good the Sun will appear to rise in the
east tomorrow morning. We already know that the Sun has not
gone away and that Earth is still rotating on its axis, so the odds of
the Sun being visible tomorrow morning are very good.
Personally I more often hope for better things rather than have faith
in things and people, especially the ones where the probabilities are
quite iffy.
