6000 years ago Finland was about 2.55 C warmer than the present:

I would say that if you remove the period called the Little Ice ago, Finland on average over the last
6000 years is colder today. And would say this more or less true in regards to the entire world.
Or said differently the warming of the 20th Century was mostly a recovery from the cooler period of the Little Ice age.
And considering the current low activity of the Sun, it's possible that it could be centuries before recovering fully from the Little Ice Age. I think it may also be possible if the Sun doesn't become more active within the next few months, we could looking at global temperatures similar to the Little Ice age. And this is not good news.
Though I think it's likely that the activity of the Sun will pick up within the next month or so, though less chance it will then become as active or more active it was at it's highest levels in the recent past.

- It isn't just about sea ice. It's the total mass balance of Antarctica
- and the models say increased snowfall in the Antarctic, so no contradiction
- Okay, then Greenland.
- It's the IPCC that counts
- I guess that settles it then.
