re: still more Zombie Lies

Your reference:
"While the confidence level does shrink as you go back in time, the National Academy of Sciences has a "very strong" confidence in the hockey stick up to 400 years ago"

Actually, the National Academy of Sciences has very strong confidence that a few decades late 20th Century was the warmest in last 400 years and same very strong confidence of the cool temperatures of the Little Ice Age.

That "very strong" confidence is in the results of Mann's hockey stick indicating of the last 400 years the latter part 20th Century was warmer. This "very strong" confidence is due numerous other supportive evidence- such as thermometer record, glacial retreat, etc

And btw, this isn't something I or anyone else has been arguing about- though some others have attempted to dismiss the Little Ice age as a myth or not a global phenomena.

I recommend the talk which is linked by your reference:

In this talk they said IPCC had put too much emphasis of Mann's graph, and that they couldn't support that assertion that 1998 was warmest year in last 1000 years [or 2000 years] or that one decade in the 20th century was the warmest in last 1000 years.
