So I'm not allowed to assign the term "left" to people who support every damn thing the socialists have fought for since the 30s. There is no "left." Only moderates.
However, my political and economic positions are somehow automatically equivalent to those of the Gilded Age. After all, there's nothing at all between Pelosi and John D. Rockefeller, right?
Oh, wait. Pelosi and Obama are "moderates" now. And since we apparently can't back away even a few steps from their economic positions without instantly becoming an anarchic Gilded Age tyranny, the only choice, of course, is to move forward. But don't worry--as we nationalize one thing after another, and increase state control over our lives, the "moderate" flag will be brought forward as we go. That way the end result can never be actual socialism, right?
I'm not even sure your version of a political and economic spectrum could be drawn in three dimensions.
Not one thing in that post changes the real facts on the positions of Pelosi and the others.
