"Tis So!

TB, if you really think that belief in some form of socialized medicine, a practice common to almost every civilized country in the world, disqualifies someone from being a political moderate, then I submit you are the extremist and the radical.

And you didn't fail in your attempt to explain conservative principles after hundreds of posts, you failed on the very first attempt. You're going to have to understand that failure to agree with you is not evidence of mental illness or sedition. And there is absolutely no correlation with the acceptability of your ideas to how many times you repeat them.

As for Rush, I think I do know how you feel about him. I think you agree with his politics but are still rational enough to know that he is a demagogue, rabble-rouser, and a dangerous provacateur more interested in his own career than in any political philosophy or ethical system. You probably (or at least, I hope) feel about him the same way I feel about Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow, someone whose politics I may agree with but whose style and delivery are deliberately divisive, abrasive and insulting and designed to pander to the worst elements of my party.

The difference between you and me is that I don't feel the obligation to publicly defend my partisans when they overstep the bounds of acceptable and civil discourse, and you do.
