The IF Was Giving You The Benefit Of The Doubt

I didn't say you were claiming that, I said if. Your comments make no sense except in that context to me, but I know those weren't your words. I'm trying to figure out your justification for calling people socialists who clearly are not by any normal definition. That kind of extremist rhetoric is just like Limbaugh and if you are going to use it, you need to be more clear what your basis is or risk getting lumped in with that goofball.

Government control is enough when greedy people stop abusing the lack of control. It's that simple. When those with power stop using it to grab more, the majority will no longer have to fight back by legislating more control.

And again Tom we're are fundamenatlly a democracy first. The point was we have the right to choose socialistic medicine if we want not that socialistic medicine is good. I'm trying to demonstrate a principle not cast a vote for socialized medicine. You totally missed the point by focusing on the definition of socialism.

You are focused on what you believe is the right form of government without wanting to face the consequences on real people of application of those principles and that is pissing a lot of people off. I look at results first and am willing to adapt any rule I've previously believed in if it doesn't work as advertised. I know you dig for data to support your position, but I don't see what you see in the data most of the time because I see it as highly selected or out of context. You try to justify your stances with economic theory, but refuse to go down to a more fundamental level to re-evaluate your pet theories.

Regards,
Mark
