<McFly - Canadian version of Scott and Frank combined. Not a very pretty picture but occasionally interesting.

I do still value my Canadian roots...historically, Canada has a terrific record for participating in world events, but nothing ever remains the same, I suppose. The Canadian military, I understand, is still so close to collapse that it likely could not have made much of a practical contribution to Iraqi Freedom.

Wow. That's more than I would have expected. Thanks, Tony. I always find your posts very interesting, either for your perspective or for the humorous "zingers" you sometimes sling.

I know this is the Flame board and all, and I supposed to be angry and insulting when I'm here, but I really don't think the left is batty, or always wrong, or lost in some sort of fantasy world.

It's just a matter of differing viewpoints, all of them valid, all of them meaningful.

I took something of a sabbatical from the Zone once myself, I don't really know why. If people bail every now and then, for whatever reason, well that's ok...as long as they come back. If they don't, it's everyone's loss. If Bowser doesn't come back, I for one will be quite shocked and genuinely saddened. As much as I hurl stones, sometimes rather unfairly, at him and Lindy and Raoul and Tony et al, their contribution is absolutely vital to this place. IMHO, anyway.

As I've lapsed into statements of the obvious, I'll stop :-)
