Re: Well if we want to be blunt

"We can spell out the completely unrecognized, unintended moral vacuity of the left in general and how all the liberal rhetoric falls flat and runs out of steam when it goes up against any educated conservative viewpoints."

The absurdity of this is boundless. Its like Andy Worhol in every way- you even take it as seriously as he took his so-called 'art'.

'One must ask themselves, does bullshit imitate Tech1, or does Tech1 imitate bullshit'

"Endless jokes about Tom's repetitive dissertations really miss the point. "

I read every one that I have the time to. Unlike You and many others on the right, Tom B is worth listening to and considering. We rarely disagree, but he has at least altered some of my stances on matters in the time I have interacted with him. Don't hoist your flag on the same pole, tech1.

"So far I have yet to be proffered that jewel of wisdom that illustrates the leftist policies or socialism in any form is really a better way."

Again with this idiocy. Left=Socialism.

"Without sounding like Spock - emotion is not an intelligent decision maker. Sympathy is emotion based, whereas compassion is a bit more balanced. Liberals are heartfelt people but they have yet to really see where their emotions originate and if they might be better served by discarding the ranting and raving."

Hahahah.

The problem is Tech1, you have a serious problem with your perceptions. In general, the average conservative is JUST as emotional and JUST as biased as the average liberal. If you can't/won't see this you are a damn fool and I won't waste my time with you. You just find it easier to discount the mouth that speaks the words, and in that discounting you THINK you have defended your position or you THINK the words have no meaning. This is beyond idiocy, its part of the willful ignorance and willful self-deception that is the source of much of the worlds dilemmas.

"The hair-pulling, screaming mourners of the middle east and India are not exactly the best role model for intelligent decision making processes."

Nor are the chest-pounding conservative prattle-traps, nor are liberal teary-eyed bleeding hearts. Nor are you.

"sympathy for civilians killed turn into hate for those who support the war"

You sound very much like an arrogant glutton, sitting in your climate controlled apartment lecturing OTHERS about an over-abundance of sympathy for the horrifically slain. Do you have any shame at all?

As to the rest of the pseudo-philosophical ass-wax... Go read an introductory Ancient Philosophy text covering the Stoics, and maybe spend a bit of time on German Rationalism and then dabble a bit in Continental (but only as long as it should take you to understand why they had it ass-backwards)...
