France was paid bribe money and did what Saddam wanted. US companies also proffitted and were probably bribed, but the US did not do what Saddam wanted so your hypocrissy argument is both silly and stupid. If anything it just proves the French are far more easily bribed if indeed their attempted bribe amounts were far less.
