Not that I'm commenting on US affairs, of which I know little, but I did hear something from the Old Testament:

It would be great if I didn't have to worry about major medical expenses. It would also be great if I didn't have to worry about the mortgage, the cars breaking down, losing a contract, the price of gasoline, food, or anything else that's part of human existence in America.

Lumping in health care, which is essential to life, with running a car or paying off a mortgage, is spurious and even dishonest.

As for the rest: I don't know what inefficiencies the US faces in its health care crisis - I don't even know the issues. But I can certainly comment on that.

By the way, I've been told by educated Jewish sources that somewhere in the Old Testament (or other Hebrew codes) it is specifically commanded that no individual should ever be denied proper and full health care on the basis of insufficient income.

.. Ancient big-government collectivist commies maybe?
