Old Democrats stand for:

Labor.
Public Welfare.
Tax Increases for Public Works.
Social Security
Defense
Racial equality (at least after 1964 and LBJ's exploiting a new voting block - before then it was exactly the opposite and they stood for racial separation and segregation.)

New Democrats stand for:

Globalisation
Environmental Protection (aka disguised anti-capitalism)
Dismantling Corporations
Tax Increases for Public Works
Micromanaging states from the Federal level.
Socialized Medicine
Social Security
Gender and Sexual 'Equalization.'
Quotas
