You are making an eloquent appeal to political activism and involvement. That appeal has been made only sparingly since the '60s. The thought of people participating in their democracy, other than voting every 4 years, scares the hell out of the present power elite.

It appears you are quilty of what Harvard's Ben Watenburg described as as possible " excess of democracy."

God, I do wish more people in this country would be inspired to such excess!
