What price freedom/

So, at what price would freedom have not been cheap? What is this 'freedom' (where you can get blown up on the way to 'free' election) actually worth to you?

100,000 lives?

250,000 lives?

1,000,000 lives?

5,000,000 lives?

Pick a figure, because if you find 30,000 acceptable, then there will be a point at which you consider it unacceptable, one presumes the point at which the entire population of Iraq is killed - between 30k and 26,000k there is a figure before which you find it acceptable, and after which you would not. What is it?

If this 'freedom' was worth so many Iraqi lives...then perhaps, just PERHAPS, they should have been asked?

Lest we forget - we were not told that this war happened to give the people 'freedom'. We were told this war was because he had WMD's. He did not. Bush now actually admits that amazingly. D.R. stood up infront of the UN and spun them utter bull.

Here's my alternative timeline....spend a few weeks finding out the FACTS about Iraq via intelligence, preferably from a non american source, and then discover that no - he was not a terorrist threat, he had no WMD's - so no need to lie to the world about things first. Obviously admitting that the war is so the US can have control over the nations oil reserves and have it traded in dollars is a bit much to expect from this administration, but perhaps boiling it down to the current justification for the war.. 'freedom' and then plan a program to free the nation of Iraq instead of invaiding and occupying it.
