you know I haven't exactly been the head cheerleader for Bush. I try to keep to the middle ground and be as objective as possible. Just because I'm not openly derisive like you or most here, I don't think its fair to draw the conclusion that I think Iraq wasn't a blunder. I think Bush made a huge number of mistakes in Iraq, however if Iraq somehow drags itself out of tyranny, Bush's blunders will likely be glossed over by history. If not he will be counted as worse than any other. That's the harsh reality we live in. I hope it turns out to be the case that Iraq can successfully pull a democracy out of the hat, not so Bush can dodge accountability, but so the Iraqis will gain freedom from their current suffering. As for Bush and his mistakes, hopefully the next President will learn from them and make not so costly ones. The one thing that is almost certain is, whether (s)he is Republican or Democrat, the nation will only become more polarized. What we need is a true moderate, but that's not what were going to get. Of that I'm almost certain.

- Well, they were going to die sometime anyway, so Bush isn't really responsible.
