amazing the blinders one gets when you're on the side of power. I've heard numerous horror stories and that's with little of the "in depth" research you so commonly engage in. Of course you tend to only visit sites that have the same views you do so I'm not surprised you haven't heard of the abuses.
Traveled much in airlines recently? Try forming a peaceful anti-war group and see how long it takes til you have a new member with ties to Homeland Security. Go to a peace march and watch the cops drive by with camcorders aimed your way. Get caught growing pot in your backyard for your grandmother's glaucoma and see how many years behind bars with hardened criminals you have to endure.
Tom, you simply won't see the rights erode. You're on the "safe side". Should make you feel proud.
Oh, and by the way I'm not a liberal and don't get my information from them. There's a lot of centrists and libertarians right now railing against the erosion of rights if you haven't noticed.
