Are you making the bizarre assumption that if Britain had only been involved in the attack in Afghanistan, destroying al Qaeda and the Taliban, that for some reason there would be no terrorist hostility toward Britain.
Remember, we had zero troops in Iraq and Afghanistan when the U.S. was attacked.
