Yeah, me too. Nobody said the guy isn't extreme. I only called Tom on holding him up as the scapegoat justifying an intellectual reign of terror that would make the dark days of Joe McCarthy look like the Renaissance.

Cracks me up that Tom tries to portray me as a radical Lefty--little ole moderate me a radical?--then trots out McClaren as an example of a Lefty radical. This provides us with a parallax view into Tom's head and with a little trigonometry we can plot his location in ideology space...lessee here...I'm several megaparsecs from McClaren...Tom's so far away he can barely resolve a separation of several megaparsecs...carry the nine and divide by pi...whoa! I get about four gigaparsecs! That's, let's see, yeah, just as I suspected, damn near right up against the cosmic event horizon, fogged in by the afterglow of the Big Bang. Now that's Conservative with a capital C!
