Tom....

I went to a grade-school in hick, redneck, Perry Oklahoma- Some teachers actually answered questions with "Its just God's will"...

The education system there did not manage to brainwash me with its approved religion, but it certainly validated the bullies that harrassed me because I was an atheist, and therefore a 'Satanist' ... (I am an atheist, but I really hope Mrs. Crider, and Mrs. Berry are burning in hell) I saw the few teachers that inspired me fired for teaching evolution as fact...

But, you see Tom, They did NOT teach evolution, they taught NOTHING of how glorious the universe is because to do so would conflict with the bible... they DID brainwash kids by omission... they FORCED their religion on me...DAY AFTER MISERABLE DAY... One dumb bitch (Mrs. Crider) actually singled me out because I was in the 'gifted' program- she made a point of making my life hell... The people you whine about are College professors, any kid that is swayed by a radical on any side in college is pretty pitiful... I had only one professor as an undergrad in college that I worshiped- Dr. Oakes... I never knew his political leanings, I just knew he was a nice man that knew his physics.... and it seemed he took a special interest in me (To be honest he made a lot of kids feel that way) He was the best damn teacher I ever had- if I had a question I could walk into his office and he would joyfully try to resolve my confusion... the ONLY negative thing I can say about him is he helped me hook up with my ex-wife.

He had the ability to KNOW how to explain a subject to a person in a personalized way - that is important- I think I learned a bit of his gift from him, but I could NEVER be as good as he was... I consider him the epitome of a GREAT man- he KNEW his physics, but he also could read people at a glance- he read me and taught me accordingly. In all my life I have only met one man that rivaled him... sadly, that man is now dead...
