The point, which continously escapes people here...

There are philosophies that people might hold that would have them barred from any college campus, and there would never be the slightest chance of them ever, ever getting a position as janitor, much less professor.

Nazism is just the most obvious off the top of my head. Include any philosophy that would declare one race superior to another (At least the white race--minority racism seems to be okay). And such philosophies SHOULD be excluded.

Yet communism seems to enjoy a special immunity. Not only that, but people get downright indignant when someone protests a teacher holding and promoting ideas that have slain more human beings than any other single concept in human history, and is still in the process of wrecking nations while I write this.

We're not talking about people who are writing books for philosophers, or articles for journals and magazines. We're talking about people who teach kids, and educate teachers, for God's sake.

If this man were a Nazi, his remaining time on this faculty would measured in minutes, and most of the righteous liberals accusing me of McCarthyism would be marching to see that it was done. If the man believed blacks should be slaves, he would be flayed alive. In fact, if a professor exudes the slightest breath of racism, he's dead meat.

But hold a philosophy that says all humans should be slaves of the State, and that's okay.

This reeks of hypocrisy.

I'm not calling for the government to force these people out. I want to see the college convinced by individual actions and protests to do so. You apparently wouldn't know what actual McCarthyism was if it bit you, and the continuous use of that term to disarm anyone who criticizes communism is pretty much the only meaning the word has any more.

And not to put too fine a point on it, I'm paying my fucking taxes to support someone who advocates the destruction of my way of life and economic and personal slavery.

Look me right in the eye and tell me that if that man was a Nazi that you would be in favor of him holding a teaching position. And then defend that position.
