Even if you didn't already know that it was Barry Goldwater who said that, you'd have known that whoever said it was a RightWinger. So tone deaf to irony..."we must destroy the country in order to save it" seems to be their approach to politics too. "Let's wrap ourselves in the flag and build a permanent Republican majority!" is so utterly clueless.
