You think you have a better idea of what's going on in the Democratic Party than I do? That Carville and Kos are anywhere in the same library, never mind on the same page? Been following Hillary's progress lately? Kerry? Gore? Pelosi? Any of the major leaders?

The reason Lakoff is important to them is that the Democrats have to figure out a way to make collectivism sell. They need to put a big steaming cow flop in front of the American people and convince them it's lemon merengue.

Again, the assumption is that we're all idiots out here. That you can demand vast new government programs, combined with "fiscal responsibility," and not have anyone connect the dots to their taxes.

I believe the Democrats are on their fourth "New Direction for America" now. Might be third...I've lost count.
