Doesn't the cognitive dissonance between rhetoric about limited government and the reality of Republican social ambitions ever get to you?

Show me where Republicans have ACTUALLY succeeded in shoving their social values down America's throat. I can think of one example, maybe two, and both are trivial.

Do we need to go over Democratic social ambitions over the years? Turning over the entire health care system to the State? Disarming Americans? Destroying the meaning and value of citizenship? Massive wealth redistribution? These have proceeded a lot further than the right-wing ambitions have.

Heck, try finding a place to light a cigarette. Unless its marijuana, in which case smoking is a God-given right.

But hey, that's massive government power for GOOD reasons, right?
