As another point, did you notice that at no point in the article is it implied that Omar has actually applied for refuge in the U.S. and been turned down? Or has even approached U.S. authorities on this?
The entire article is a rambling bitch-fest by the author about what will probably happen to Omar, since of course the U.S. is such scum. If you have more complete or updated information, I'd like to see it.
