Raoul's post is based on a story I heard on NPR just within the last few days, although my take on it is not as harsh as his is, I think the failure to get permission to immigrate is more related to bureaucratic instransigence and red tape. It's the sort of bureaucratic foul up that can occur anywhere and anytime, and which is usally rectified when exposed by the press.
It's the smug reaction of the poster that responded to Raoul that's pissed me off.
