How many of these guys are there?

And why are they all here?

Creationism has always been a dominant feature of fundamentalist Protestantism in the US, particularly in the southern Bible Belt. But I also know it exixts (to a much lesser extent) in Canada, the UK and Australia. Pershaps someone here can enlighten us, is this disease a characteristic of the English-Speaking world, some peculiarly Anglo- Saxon pathology? Or is it widespread? Are there creationist Catholics,
Muslims, Jews (after all, they all share the Genesis text)? How many other religions with creation myths (Hindus, etc) let them influence their biology, geology and astronomy.

I also know that US-style fundamentalist Protestantism is flourishing in Latin America now, where it is mounting a serious challenge to the Catholic stranglehold on the continent. Does anyone know if it is creationist?
