I used to live in Mountain View, remember? And that place is Fantasyland. Until I got layed off from my cushy defense contractor job there I was making more than I am today as a mid-level civil servant in South Florida; and I am not making allowances for 17 years of inflation, either. As for your statistics, they sound about as reassuring as Mr Hoover's did in 1929. Sure, I live well, but I come from working class roots and I've had my share of working class work and I learned to avoid debt, save money, and live frugally. It was a lesson my family learned during the Depression.

Wake up and take a good look around you, TB. People are scared, not just the poor, either, and it isn't because of a propaganda campaign by the Democrats. As you conservatives love to point out, people don't need anyone to tell them how the economy is doing, they actually have to deal with it every day.
