..or would that be for Gods' sake?
By and large I agree with you TB.
I am all about choice. If creationism is to be taught in schools...evolution requires equal time. My thought is to present both sides of the controversy in schools and allow the students to have a well organized and researched debate over it in the school auditorium, and invite any and every one....*hell*...make it a requirement to participate or attend. That way both sides are represented. Creationism will never go away...we need to learn how to co-exist without feeling threatened....there is the REAL lesson.
I have enough *faith* to *believe* that our kids are smarter than we give them credit for anyway. They will make up their own minds..they are not mindless dullards, here.
The student drop out rate has reached 40%...evolution and creationism has nothing to do with that...we need to re-think the whole core school curriculum..... what about the majority of students who could give a rats' petubric about either choice?
I know...I know...separation between church and state...
Oh for the love of Neanderthal/God...neither one will ever go away...we might as well embrace and deal....and let the *informed of both* decide.
On a side note:
I know of a gifted young man of 21 who was an evolutionist . He started attending church a few months ago and is a devout creationist now.
