Subsidies for those who can afford private school tuitions. You get tax money and give it to people who have the free cash to ante up a private school matriculation. Welfare for Republicans. This way, well-off families can send their kids to good schools and everyone else gets to go to blackboard jungle.
I don't have kids, but I've never complained about paying taxes for education, but I'll be damned if I'm going to lillingly let my tax money go to help send some 17 Mile Drive surfer boy to private school; just like we give grants and cash to universities so that people who can afford a token tuition get the bulk of their expenses defrayed by the bus riders.
The whole republican/conservative program is a blatant hustle to get someone else to pay their bills. Do they think the world owes them a living? They don't want to pay taxes, they want to shelter their income, keep it in the family and they want to keep everything under wraps, surrounded by a fog of lawyers and accountants. But when Uncle Sugar starts handing out cash they're the first to belly up for a handout, wrapping it up in some free enterprise founding father bullshit. If they want to send their kids to private schools that badly, let them cash in their IRAs.

It would be a lot more honest if they just called vouchers what they really are, "subsidies".
