Pacifism does not encourage aggression. Pacifism encourages forgiveness.

In some circumstances, that's quite correct.

In other circumstances it's completely wrong. There are times when pascifism is the surest and swiftest way to call violence onto yourself and/or your people.

To say that only one approach (in this case, pascifism) is all that's ever required to deal with conflict seems rather simplistic to me.
