Nobody picks a bombing run as their first choice, but anyone who thinks invading Iraq was the first option tried has missed out on a lot of history over the past decades.

I also don't want my kids to live in a world where the guy getting on the bus with them is a walking nail bomb, or where they have to ride planes into buildings. At what point in the history of the Middle East do we reach the conclusion that nasty letters from the U.N. have not done the job?
