It makes me sick. Sooner or later, like a drunk who has finally hit bottom, I will be able to take my last drink here. Heaven knows I've tried often enough, only to fall off the wagon. It's already been deleted from the bookmarks. Now if I can just let it slide off the menu.
I hear my opinions and my way of thinking about things ridiculed over and over, yet when called on it, the replies are thus:
"You can't really be that dumb."
"You put words in my mouth."
"Your view of the world is warped."
"The Left wants the world to be Communist."
"What kind of dream world do you live in?"
...and an assortment of "I've got mine and to hell with everyone else" economic "theories".
Being polite is of no use here. I keep thinking that if I just relax a little, it will be OK, but you know, it's impossible. There is no conversation, only a series of sniper attacks.
This place is impossible.
Why don't you all go to Mars? You can throw rocks at each other there. There's lots of room and plenty of rocks.
In the meantime, I have real work to do with real people who really need it. Unlike the clowns here who know everything.
