And Stalin would have rolled over a peaceful Germany, eaten Europe, and it would have been the Soviet Army facing England across the Channel. Or maybe you have some evidence of how we somehow "humiliated" Russia and forced it to become a communist hellhole? Cripes, I'd bet there are at least a dozen academic papers out there that "prove" just that. Mao too, I suppose.
There are almost no totalitarian monsters on the face of the Earth that the Left will not somehow blame America for "creating." Pol Pot is a good example. Castro is another. Each of these has advocates that show that if the Evil West hadn't done something awful, their societies could have become the socialist paradise that we all know REAL Marxism can create.
Pacifism is no defense against creatures who believe the entire world should be bent to their will, or be destroyed. And there have been plenty of the latter throughout history without someone having to provoke their creation from outside. I'm not saying the Treaty of Versailles couldn't have been done better. I'm just saying that there is no reason Germany might not have come up with Hitler anyway. The poison was a lot deeper and a lot older than WWI.
