Perspective.
My best friend is a really mellow guy I've known since high school. His daughter is a officer in the Navy, USN, his son a Harvard Law graduate who teaches high school since deciding he didn't like practicing law.
What this guy has going for him is a bunch, but after he "retired" he took to teaching construction in high school.
Whenever I get on my high horse, complaining, feeling abused and put upon, he reminds me -
"They're puppies, Bowser. They're just puppies. Most of 'em will grow up, but for now they're puppies."
I don't teach, but have a lot to do with folks in a somewhat similar role. Somehow, that's always comforting.
