doesn't mean I want a cow crammed down my throat. My wife and I pay a butt load of taxes and much of them go to pay for stupid government programs that are abject failures. The rate of government spending has been increasing far faster than inflation and population growth. Surely, even you can look at a $2+ TRILLION annual budget and see that not all of it is being spent wisely. Add to that many hundred billion more spent by state and local government and there appears plenty of room to reduce spending.
You should try going out and working in the real world instead of harping about the choices other people make. Odds are you'd end up a happier person.
Oh, while I'm at it, the Interstate system was the brainchild of Dwight Eisenhower, not some brain dead liberal moron.
