A comic genius!
Have you considered using a combination of Wyrd Sisters and the animated series "Gargoyles" to get her interested in Macbeth? There's a play with a political point about power and its effects on character if ever there was one! ;)
I might vote for someone who wanted to work on reducing emissions, Tom, but outright outlawing of stuff to provoke societal change is, in general, an ineffective measure, especially when it concerns the public at large. I understand the lessons of Prohibition very well. Organized crime never had it so good. When bad law makes the majority into criminals, the fabric of civil society unravels and the big criminal becomes a hero. Little crimes, big crimes, what's the difference?
I prefer debate and education. I mean, there were laws against drunk driving for years before they were taken seriously. When people representing the victims started to speak up in an organized way, the public began to see this as a crime instead of a lapse in judgment.
Besides, I've never been a one-issue voter.
Tell us, Tom, did the fewmets hit the windmill when you used the f-word to your English teacher? :D
