And to the DoD and to the State Department. I'm sure you will get polite replies.
They will post it on the office bulletin board and laugh.
We don't want parity. Not really. That would give other nations more leverage. We don't want that.
As long as Republicans are willing to support a large military establishment (forever) and Democrats are too scared to oppose them (for the forseeable future, apparently), being the world's armory makes foreign policy a lot simpler to conduct.
What other nation would dare to say, "Come along or stay home, we don't care"?
